Rosalie Gicanda (1928 – 1994) was the last queen of Rwanda. She showed goodwill toward the neediest people no matter their line. Though she wasn’t a political figure anymore since the monarchy abolishment in 1961, she was from the Tutsi line and has been one of the numerous victims of the Rwandese genocide that happened in 1994.
